Small late 19th century to early 20th century brown mold blown glass bottle with cork stopper labeled Choleval, and distributed by Merk and Co. in New York.

Choleval was used as a topical treatment for bed sores and ulcerations. It was used in various strengths with a 10 percent solution used for severe ulcerations.
